It seems like forever ago when I first met Brooke at my bridal show booth back in January and with all the planning, meetings, shoots etc., since then it also seemed like her wedding day was never going to get here. But get here it did on a BEAUTIFUL sunny day last Saturday.
My family and I have become very good friends with Brooke and Taylor so shooting the wedding ‘warmed the cockles of my heart‘ just that bit more! Together with Heidi who came in from Ohio to attend AND assist at the wedding, we captured some great moments.
The attention to detail that both Brooke and Taylor put into this wedding was staggering. From designing her cake herself, to the Argyle pattern that was scattered throughout, to the hand-made peacock-feathered hair accessories etc., nothing was missed and it showed!
In these photographs, you will see the love they both have for each other, their gorgeous funny friends and life in general. This was such a fun, drama-free, happy day that as it drew to a close I didn’t want it to end – that doesn’t happen often.
A couple of extra things I loved about this day:
- The singers – Walker Godwin and John Curtis Lewis – were AH-MAZE-ING! They sang ‘Marry Me’ and ‘Bless the Broken Road’ which had EVERYONE in tears. Just beautiful voices and lovely young men!
- The fact that Brooke’s Uncle John was the Reverend who married them.
- The Flower Girl refusing to walk down the aisle then asking mid-way through if we could ‘possibly start the wedding again so that she could walk down this time’……… aaaaawwww.
- All the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen who were happy to be there and happy to have their photographs taken! *phew*
- The staff at the Florence Country Club. As ever, they couldn’t be more helpful and friendly!
- Β The sun for being out and the rain for staying away π
Gorgeous day, gorgeous couple.
I’m very happy to have them in my life and I can’t wait till they start having babies for me to take photographs of! π
Andi you are such a blessing to Brides and Grooms everywhere. How lucky they are to have your talent and your caring on their special day. You clearly love your work and it just GLOWS through your pictures. You are amazing!
Aaaaaw Thanks Tiff! I DO love my work. A guest recently pulled me aside and said “The look on your face while you are shooting is amazing, you just look like you absolutely LOVE what you do!” and it’s true! I DO! π
