As I come to the end of September, I am reflecting on the recent shoot I had with Mya and her family. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Mya was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and has undergone numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, had a cell stem transplant and has many more treatments ahead of her. She just turned two. I met with Mya and her family to take some photographs at a local park close to them. Once she got used to my camera she couldn’t turn the smiles off. I enjoyed every second with her.
