Having shot over 100 weddings and several parties and events, I’ve had the honor to work with some AMAZING vendors. Some NOT so good (melting cakes, wrong music played at the wrong time, not turning up at ALL to cover the event *shudder*) but let’s not dwell on those sad times shall we 🙂
I am FREQUENTLY asked “Can you recommend a good Florist/Planner/DJ etc.,” and I don’t always have their business cards handy with me so I figured I’d list them all in one place and just direct people here. As I shoot more and work with more awesome vendors I shall add them to the list but for now, the following people are ones I HIGHLY recommend and have LOVED the opportunity to work with. Leslie Carpenter at A&B Florist does AMAZING work! I have worked many weddings and events that she has created floral arrangements, bouquets etc., for and am always in awe of her work!
DJ’s
Scotty G. Productions – Scotty G was one of the first DJ’s I worked with when I moved here and was SO MUCH fun! He is a popular guy and gets booked up quickly!
Tiz Laney – I’ve worked with this guy on quite a few weddings and he’s so good! Great music choices available and dance floors are always full!
DG Productions – David Graham is a GREAT guy and has everyone on the floor all night!
HOSTS/MC/MUSIC
Deon Generette is the AMAZING host of 7Sunday and together with additional bands provides a fabulous service. If you are looking for someone fun, vibrant and professional to host ANY event you are having and want music too Deon and 7Sunday are who you need.
Event/Wedding Planners
Stephanie Forte – Elegant Events Stephanie does it ALL and then some. The amount of times that I’ve shot weddings where the church provided their own ‘coordinator’ who caused nothing but confusion and frustration for brides and other vendors is too many to count. Trust me. Book a planner. THIS planner if you want to get the job done with precision and quickly. Can’t say enough good things about Stephanie and her team.
Videographers
Brad Teal – Something to Remember. I worked with Brad recently at a LARGE wedding and I hardly even noticed he was there – he’s like a Video Ninja 🙂 His work is FABULOUS and he’s quick and courteous to everyone. REALLY nice guy to work with.

Venues
Tanglewood Plantation – Lynchburg I’ve shot a few weddings here and the stunning house and landscaping would make ANY wedding or event be fabulous. Jamie who runs the place is a lovely lady and very helpful. Give this place a try and you won’t regret it!
Donny Gerald – Hidden Acres – This place is FANTASTIC to hold any event at but specifically weddings. Donny is not only one of the nicest guys in the industry to work with, he has built this place up to be a one-stop-shop! You can have your wedding ceremony in the beautiful chapel (or outdoors by the lake) then walk towards the reception area (on the lovely new winding path that is lit up) and when it’s all over and done with you can stay at the new Inn he’s had built (several GORGEOUS rooms). It’s rustic, it’s beautiful and you should DEFINITELY check this place out! They also won the Pee Dee’s Best wedding venue too!
The Claussen House – A GORGEOUS backdrop for weddings and receptions. really, just gorgeous!
The Drengalen House – Coker College – I have done many bridal shoots in this location and it’s a GORGEOUS location for a wedding and reception. The huge lawn out front, the beautiful rooms inside – Well worth a look!
Kalmia Gardens – Again, a GORGEOUS place to have a wedding/reception. It’s popular all year round and with the flowers blooming there are fantastic scents around you all day long. Lovely backdrops too for family photographs and bridal party photographs especially with the small lake.
Wildberry Farm – This place has a lovely rustic setting for weddings and receptions and the people there are great to work with!
Hartsville Country Club – I’ve shot many weddings and receptions here and it’s a very pretty, clean place with great staff. It can hold a reception of 450+ people or just a small reception of 100 and either way they make it look great!
