Stephanie & Mrs Harwell – SHE Magazine

SHE magazine runs print at 40,000+ copies and covers the Pee Dee area. In their last issue they put a call-out for readers to write-in with stories of teachers who had inspired them, and brought meaning to their lives. This issue was going to cover Education and Inspiration.

Stephanie Forte of Elegant Events had such a story about her 4th grade teacher Mrs. Sherry Harwell who had taught Stephanie at Johnsonville Elementary. I was asked to take photographs of them both for the August issue of the magazine (page 78).

It was a lovely day, and a very emotional day for both Stephanie and Mrs Harwell. Stephanie had brought along her old school photograph from 4th grade – aaaaaaawww – and her report card too! Watching them both talk about their time during that year, you could see why they both thought so highly of each other. They are both amazing people to know.

As this magazine issue covers Education we chose to shoot in the library. Here are a few extra photographs I took from that day. It was a pleasure shooting for the magazine, for Stephanie and Mrs Harwell.
